Martyn trained as an Electronics Engineer 30 years ago and when a new path revealed itself, Martyn was drawn towards the world of purchasing where he’s successfully accrued a wealth of experience over the last 25 years. Martyn has experience across diverse industries, including Military Flight Simulation, Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Building Management System companies. 

With a keen eye for cost efficiency, Martyn has honed a unique set of specialist skills, excelling in value engineering projects aimed at driving down expenditures, forecasting, negotiation, mentoring and building lasting and collaborative relationships with suppliers. 

When did you join the team?

 I joined Sontay in Nov 2016. 

What is your 'Sontay moment'?

My Sontay moment would be creating a SIOP process that improved our efficiency and forecasting dramatically. 

What is your favourite part of being at Sontay?

My favourite part of being at Sontay is the people I work with, its like a family.

My inspirations?

My inspirations are my children and my piers, to always try and improve something every day.

What do you do outside of Sontay?

Outside of work I focus mentoring my children and I am in the process of buying a double decker bus to convert into a house.
